The team:
Product Marketing sits within Jobber's Product organization, working alongside product teams to shape how our capabilities go to market and how customers adopt them. You'll join the Operations pillar, which covers the tools customers rely on every day to plan work, coordinate teams, connect the field and office, and understand how their business is performing. As these capabilities evolve, the team helps customers see how they fit together and why Jobber is worth their attention and investment.
The role:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Marketing, the Product Marketing Manager, Operations will lead a defined Operations portfolio, owning positioning, go-to-market strategy and adoption from launch through ongoing learning. You'll start with the customer's business, workflows and challenges, then connect Jobber's capabilities into a clear story, from recognizing a need and choosing the right offering to realizing value through ongoing use. A big part of the challenge is reaching established and scaled businesses in a competitive market, many of which already use another solution, so we're looking for someone who brings creative, evidence-led recommendations on how to reach them, stand out and give them a compelling reason to switch. This is an individual contributor role, and you'll partner closely with your fellow Operations PMMs to connect your portfolio to the broader customer story and pricing and packaging strategy.
The Product Marketing Manager, Operations will:
- Build a deep understanding of how owners, office teams and field crews plan and complete work, combining customer conversations, competitive insight, win/loss feedback and product data to uncover unmet needs, switching barriers and adoption opportunities.
- Craft differentiated stories around the customer journey, making the value tangible through product demos, customer proof and clear messaging from discovery through ongoing use.
- Shape the offer by bringing customer needs, willingness to pay and competitive context into packaging and commercial discussions, and help buyers and customer-facing teams find the right offering for each business.
- Own the GTM plan for your portfolio with Product and the commercial lead, from target customer and proposition to route to market and success measures, and coordinate readiness with Sales, Enablement, Demand Generation and Lifecycle Marketing.
- Improve discovery and adoption beyond launch, partnering with Product, Lifecycle Marketing, Education and Customer Success to help customers get started, realize value and build lasting habits.
- Equip Sales and Success with competitive positioning, customer proof, demos and objection-handling guidance, then bring what you learn about buying barriers back to Product and commercial partners.
- Keep the story consistent across campaigns, landing pages, product experiences and customer conversations, working with Demand Generation, Web and Lifecycle Marketing.
- Connect your work to commercial outcomes such as conversion into the right offering, higher-tier attach and meaningful adoption, digging into funnel and cohort data yourself and partnering with Analytics on complex questions.
- Use AI hands-on for research synthesis, analysis, GTM execution and repeatable workflows, verifying outputs and documenting what works so the whole team can reuse it.
To be successful, you should have:
- A proven track record in product marketing for software products, including shaping strategy and positioning and owning initiatives through launch and post-launch learning.
- Strong storytelling and writing skills: you can turn complex functionality into a clear customer benefit and present a recommendation to practitioners and senior stakeholders alike.
- Sharp commercial judgment: you understand competitive alternatives and switching barriers, and can recommend how to reach an ICP, differentiate an offer and make practical investment trade-offs.
- Analytical confidence: you can frame a business question, self-serve the data, interpret funnel and cohort evidence, and tell observed results apart from causal claims.
- Hands-on experience using AI to improve research, GTM execution, analysis or team processes, and the ability to explain the impact and how you verified the work.
- Experience with SMB software, vertical SaaS, field service or operational workflows is a bonus, and familiarity
