Requirements
Core Responsibilities
- Paid Social and Direct Response Strategy -
- Own creative strategy for paid social, with Meta and Instagram as core channels and TikTok, YouTube, and other paid channels as client needs require.
- Translate client growth goals, patient or customer research, funnel data, and competitive insights into creative briefs, campaign concepts, messaging angles, offers, and calls to action.
- Develop distinct concepts for different audience needs and levels of awareness, from introducing a care option to helping someone take the next step toward an appointment.
- Build creative roadmaps that balance new concepts with iterations of proven work. Partner with paid media to prioritize tests based on business impact, available spend, and production capacity.
- Extend winning messaging into landing pages and other conversion assets so the experience from ad to action is clear and consistent.
- Creative Development and Production
- Direct and contribute to ad copy, scripts, storyboards, static ads, carousels, motion graphics, and short-form video. Stay close enough to the work to write, edit, and solve execution problems.
- Lead development of creator-led content, clinician explainers, product demonstrations, and approved patient stories or testimonials when appropriate.
- Create platform-native advertising with strong openings, clear benefits, credible proof, and specific next steps. Adapt pacing, framing, captions, and formats to each placement.
- Give actionable feedback to designers, copywriters, editors, creators, and production partners. Maintain quality from initial concept through final delivery.
Creative Director Responsibilities -
- Testing and Performance Improvement
- Partner with paid media and analytics to run a structured creative testing program. Define the hypothesis, audience insight, primary variable, and success criteria before production.
- Review performance at the concept, message, format, and asset level. Use attention and click metrics as diagnostic signals alongside conversion rate, cost per qualified acquisition, and downstream outcomes.
- Distinguish creative findings from changes in spend, targeting, landing pages, attribution, or patient intake. Avoid declaring winners from limited or misleading data.
- Turn results into clear recommendations: what to scale, what to revise, what to stop, and what to test next. Document learnings so they inform future work across the team.
- Monitor fatigue and maintain a steady pipeline of fresh concepts and useful variations that supports client growth.
- Health Messaging and Patient Trust
- Translate complex health services into clear, empathetic language that helps people understand their options and take an informed next step.
- Account for barriers such as stigma, cost, insurance coverage, access, eligibility, and uncertainty about care. Use client-verified information when describing services and outcomes.
- Build client clinical, legal, and compliance reviews into the production workflow. Route claims, testimonials, disclosures, and sensitive messaging to the appropriate reviewers before launch.
- Avoid unsupported outcome claims, guarantees, stigmatizing language, or copy that assumes a viewer has a health condition. Follow client requirements and applicable advertising platform policies.
- Use only approved materials and permissions for patient stories and health information. Keep sensitive client and patient information out of unapproved creative and AI tools.
- Client Collaboration and Team Leadership
- Lead creative discovery, concept presentations, and performance reviews. Explain the audience insight, creative rationale, and proposed test in language clients can evaluate.
- Partner with account management, which leads overall account coordination, and paid media, which leads media strategy and buying. Own creative recommendations, quality, and delivery.
- Coach internal creatives and external partners, set clear standards, and develop their ability to connect craft with measurable outcomes.
- Manage briefs, feedback, approvals, workload, and production schedules across accounts. Flag scope changes and resource constraints early; deliver within agreed hours, budgets, and deadlines.
- Use AI and automation to support research synthesis, ideation, variations, and production where appropriate, with human review for accuracy, originality, brand fit, and sensitive content.
- Support new business and account growth through relevant concepts, case studies, and creative recommendations. Help leadership scope and price creative work realistically.
