Found in last night's run on vCluster Labs's Ashby board.
I noticed ownership of SEO, thought leadership, and pipeline.
About the role
As Head of Content at vCluster Labs, you aren’t just publishing blog posts; you are building the content engine that makes vCluster Labs the reference point for how AI clouds and enterprises build and run AI infrastructure. You’ll own content strategy across every buying stage, our SEO and AI answer engine presence, and the flagship thought leadership that defines the category. You’ll measure all of it in trials, demos and influenced pipeline. You write and edit at an expert level, and you use modern AI tools to ship deeply technical work at a quality and pace a traditional team can’t match. Strong product marketing, DevRel, creative and ecosystem teams are already in place, and your job is to put them on one calendar that drives growth.
As Head of Content, your role will include:
- Content Strategy by Buying Stage: You will map content to the questions buyers ask at each stage. Early on, they ask why the software layer matters to an AI cloud or an enterprise AI Factory. Then they ask how the best teams deliver a hyperscaler experience on their own hardware, and finally who else runs this in production. You’ll build separate tracks for AI cloud providers and enterprise buyers, including telcos launching GPU services, Fortune 500 AI Factories and platform teams running clusters across public and private cloud. You’ll also supply each quarterly campaign kit and the Field and ABM team with business cases, account-tailored pages, event follow-ups and nurture content.
- SEO & AEO Engine: You will lead search and AI answer engine strategy across our core topic clusters: managed clusters for AI clouds, Slurm and HPC, tenant isolation, bare metal and infrastructure, inference, and AI cloud economics. On the enterprise side, that includes return on AI infrastructure investment and one tenant experience across EKS, GKE, AKS and bare metal. Each cluster gets a pillar page, supporting technical posts and a clear path to a free trial, demo or conversation.
- Flagship Thought Leadership: You will own the annual State of the AI Cloud report and the content chapters of our year-long brand campaign. You’ll ghostwrite and place bylines, talks and points of view for our CEO and CTO, and build our enterprise narrative for AI Factories, telcos and platform teams.
- Content Production & Proof: You will run one content calendar with DevRel and Product Marketing. You’ll ramp to 2 to 3 SEO-led technical posts per week, one webinar per month, two benchmarks or reference architectures a year and four new customer stories a year, including a telco and an AI Factory. You’ll also build the AI-assisted workflows for research, drafting, technical review and repurposing that let a small team hit this volume without lowering the bar.
- Quality & Measurement: You will hold the bar on every claim: grounded in approved proof, technically correct, on brand and precise about the specific isolation boundary. You’ll baseline organic, AI referral and conversion metrics, set targets, and report content’s contribution to sourced and influenced pipeline.
- Early Impact: In your first 30 days, you’ll complete an SEO and AEO audit and deliver a prioritized plan. Within 3 months, organic and AI referral traffic will grow and convert better to trials, demos and conversations, and vCluster Labs will appear in AI answer engine results for our top category prompts. By the end of 2027, content will be attached to a growing share of Tier 1 and Tier 2 opportunities.
This role could be a fit for you if you bring:
- Content Leadership: 10+ years in B2B content marketing, including at least 5 years leading content strategy for technical or infrastructure products sold to enterprise buyers. Your portfolio shows both category-defining thought leadership and content that measurably drove pipeline.
- Writing & Editing Craft: You can interview a principal engineer and turn it into a piece a CTO forwards.
- Search Expertise: Deep, current SEO experience and a working point of view on AEO and generative search. You’re fluent in GA4, Search Console, Ahrefs or Semrush, and a CMS such as Webflow.
- AI-Native Content Production: You use AI tools such as Claude, alongside research, SEO and AEO platforms, to produce deeply technical content of exceptional quality. You know where these tools speed you up, where they fall short, and how to verify every technical claim before it ships.
- Technical Curiosity: You’re comfortable with cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, HPC or GPU computing concepts, and you want to go deeper.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Experience running a content calendar across DevRel, Product Marketing, freelancers and agencies.
Bonus points for:
- AI & Developer Markets: Experience in AI infrastructure, open source or developer tools, including marketing to enterprise platform engineering and infrastructure teams.
- Research & Analyst Relations: Experience producing research reports or working with industry analysts.
- Executive Voice: A track record of executive ghostwriting and media placement.
ABOUT VCLUSTER LABS
We're the #1 platform for AI infrastructure, trusted by the world's fastest-growing AI cloud builders. We're a venture-backed startup that's raised over $28M from top-tier investors including Khosla Ventures (first investor in OpenAI, GitLab, Stripe, and DoorDash), and we're in a hyper-growth phase looking for motivated people to join our team. Our headquarters are in San Francisco (Salesforce Tower), but our team is distributed around the globe with a remote-first culture.
We give AI Cloud providers and AI factories a hyperscaler-like experience on their own GPU infrastructure. Our platform runs the full stack an operator needs, from bare metal provisioning and node lifecycle management up through managed Kubernetes, Slurm, Ray, and inference clusters, so they can turn raw GPUs into cluster products they can sell in days instead of spending 12+ months building it themselves. Today we power over 100,000 GPU
