About the role

Aeva is building the next generation of sensing and perception for autonomous vehicles and beyond. With its unique ability to measure instantaneous velocity for each pixel, long-range performance at high resolutions, while being free from LiDAR or sunlight interference, Aeva’s 4D LiDAR is built from the ground up at silicon photonics scale for mass-market applications.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a DSP Systems Engineer with experience in advanced algorithm development utilizing techniques in Detection & Estimation Theory, Random Processes Analysis, and Communications and Information Theory. You will be responsible for defining performance requirements, designing, testing, verification & validation of signal processing algorithms.

What you'll do:

  • Design, verify and test signal processing algorithms utilizing techniques in Detection & Estimation Theory, Random Processes Analysis, and Communications and Information Theory
  • Design and simulation of end-to-end systems from the ground up to meet a required performance specification
  • Data analysis and verification of algorithms against real world data

What you have:

  • Expert in programming languages C or C++ and analysis tools such as python / Matlab.
  • MSEE+ with focus in DSP or digital communications theory
  • Solid fundamentals in mathematics, digital signal processing and communication systems
  • Experience in designing, choosing and optimizing DSP algorithms for RADAR or other relevant sensors
  • Expert in MATLAB and experience in other languages (e.g. C, C++, Python)
  • Eager to learn & implement new algorithms in groundbreaking technology

Nice to haves:

  • Background with Radar or LiDAR Signal Processing (FMCW)
